A non-essential amino acid that is synthesized by humans L-Cysteine plays a very integral role in the formation and detoxification of skin cells, in addition to helping the repairing of nail and hair tissue. Puritan's Pride has their own version of L-Cysteine, condensed in rapid release capsules for fast and efficient absorption. One of the primary sources of sulfur in the body, L-Cysteine also helps in the building of new muscle tissue, a big reason why this supplement is very popular with bodybuilders. There are a host of medical issues that have been shown in studies to be reduced with a regimen rich in L-Cysteine, including angina, bronchitis and acute respiratory distress. One of the basic building blocks of protein, growth is simply not possible without L-Cysteine. This supplement is free of starch, milk, lactose, soy, wheat, yeast, gluten, sodium or artificial colors or flavors.

Take one to two capsules daily, preferably on an empty stomach.
